Orchid

Orchid

August 7, 2020 Chelsea Comments 0 Comment

When I first saw it, it was like a red rose which

blew my mind out back and forth.

I blindfolded myself with its thorns

even though I knew it would not go north.

I found stains on my hand; ‘fore I pulled them off again

Maybe that was too late ’cause the blue had poured in my vain

When I last held it, it became our orchid.
